The Preferred Form of Folic Acid

Anti-Homocysteine Complex provides a metabolically active, natural form of folate called calcium folinate, which includes L-5-methyl tetrahydrofolate (L-5-MTHF), a special form of folic acid for greater bioavailability.  Unlike typical folic acid, L-5-MTHF requires no extra steps to be absorbed and utilized by the cell.  This is important because the ability to metabolize folic acid may be altered in up to 40% of the population due to liver congestion from alcoholic use, metabolic imbalances, chemical exposure, etc.  These individuals may benefit from supplementation that includes the end-form of folate over typical dietary forms of folate.

Among the many benefits, L-5-MTHF is the only folate metabolite that crosses the blood-brain barrier and promotes healthy homocysteine levels.  It is also intimately linked to nucleotide synthesis, important for sustaining a healthy immune system.  Anti-Homocysteine Complex includes the natural L-isomer form of 5-MTHF, the preferred form over the unnatural D-isomer or mixed D-L-isomer forms because it is the only isomeric form used by the body.


Vitamin B12 (Dibencozide)

This formula uses only the preferred form of vitamin B12 as dibencozide, the fully reacted coenzyme of Vitamin B12, shown by research in 1955 to be fully equal to B12 injections in raising blood levels of B12.  We do not use or recommend the cheaper, less effective form of B12 such as cyanocobalamin (which some researchers also believe is partially toxic due to the cyanide fraction).  Vitamin B12 has been recognized for its ability to promote the production of red blood cells, increase attention span and concentration, increase the production of growth hormone (GH) and promote the integrity of the immune system.


Vitamin B6 (p-5-p)

This formula uses the preferred form of vitamin B6, the fully reacted coenzyme form of vitamin B6, pyridoxyl-5 phosphate, rather the cheap form, pyridoxine hydrochloride.  Vitamin B6 is a water-soluble B vitamin that supports healthy adrenal hormone production and regulation.  It also supports the body’s production of energy, growth and development, healthy stress response, hormone balance and homocysteine metabolism.  Together, they synergistically support healthy blood lipid levels, increased integrity for healthy cellular membranes and superior cell-to-cell communication, superior brain function, including memory, focus and attention benefits and support for healthy immune system function.

When homocysteine levels are elevated, increased immune system support is often needed.  The premier, nonhybrid European form of hyssop is included in this formula to provide superior benefits for immune system support.  Hyssop (Hyssopus officinalis) has been effectively used for immune system concerns for centuries by many different cultures.  Since biblical times, it has also been revered as a premier blood cleanser.
